2022年９月のとある土曜日の正午前、昼食のために一人で訪問しました。
こちらは、古民家のおそば屋さんで、新潟県発祥の布海苔（ふのり）をつなぎに使った「へぎそば」のお店です。
店名は、日本海や佐渡島を望む弥彦山に由来するんでしょうか。
八王子市の市街地を東西に走る「北大通り」にあります。
鉄道の駅からは遠く、最寄りの公共交通機関は西東京バスです。
お店の前には、古民家を演出する水車や、鯉が泳ぐ池があります。
お店の中は広く、囲炉裏を模したテーブル席のほかに小上がりがあります。
ファミレスのように入口で名前を書くのですが、５分も待たずにテーブル席に案内してもらうことができました。
このときは、地元の人とおぼしき普段着のお客さんでにぎわっていました。
こちらは前述のとおりへぎそばのお店なのですが、私はおなかがすいてご飯ものが食べたかったので「大海老天丼（ミニそば付）」（税込1528円）をいただきました。
２本も入った大きな海老は、衣がサクサク、中の海老がプリプリでとてもおいしかったです。
食べ応えのあるしめじ天もよかったです。
