Christmas Eve After finishing a bottle of rose sparkling wine at home, I felt like going out for a drink, so I headed to "Toriya Sasagi" a short walk from Akigawa Station. I would be sad if I went directly and there were no seats available, so I called ahead to reserve a seat. After entering the restaurant and disinfecting my hands, I was shown to my seat. First, two appetizers (308 yen) were served, followed by chicken soup and macaroni salad. I looked at the menu and first ordered drinks. Two Braumeisters (605 yen), Coke float (418 yen), Melon soda (253 yen). When the drinks arrived, I ordered some snacks. The items I ordered were: Three kinds of sashimi (1,210 yen), 5 skewers of local chicken (1,155 yen), Pickles (308 yen), Chicken shumai (198 yen x 4), Grilled garlic (418 yen), Crispy vegetables with local chicken miso (825 yen), and a toast with a Braumeister. (≧∇≦)／□☆□＼(≧∇≦) It arrived in a special glass with fine bubbles and a mellow taste. Delicious (*´艸｀*) It seemed very fresh and well washed. While snacking on the appetizer, the pickled vegetables arrived first, followed by five skewers of local chicken and grilled garlic. The local chicken skewers were all salted and all cooked just right. Delicious! The grilled garlic from Aomori was even more delicious. Omu ate mostly the grilled garlic, and the kids had the local chicken. When you eat the grilled garlic with the miso that came with it, it just (o´艸`)mhuhu you're craving sake lol. Of course, there was a sake menu, but if you start drinking, you might not want to go home (^^ゞ. While we were doing that, the three kinds of sashimi arrived: chicken shumai, crispy vegetables with local chicken miso. For the sashimi,食べる箇所によって味わいが変わってくるのも面白いよ♪ English: I remember that the chicken fillet is in the back left and the breast meat is in the front left... (^o^; The chicken fillet was delicious \(*´ ꒳`*)/ It was also served with Kyushu's dark soy sauce, which we dipped in♪ The chicken shumai wasn't wrapped in skin, but had thin strips of skin on top. When I took a bite, the juicy meat juices came out (o´艸`)mhuhu I hadn't eaten any vegetables, so I ordered some crunchy vegetables. The daikon radish sticks and local chicken miso go best together♪ I thought, and they were gone in no time at all(*ﾉωﾉ) It was delicious♪ While snacking on these appetizers, I had my second glass of Braumeister. It was, as expected, delicious(*ﾉˊᗜˋ*)ﾉ A happy moment To finish off the meal, we ordered naan pizza (715 yen). One slice each for the four of us. It was freshly baked and topped with plenty of melted cheese, making it the perfect way to end the meal♪ We were very satisfied, thank you for the meal!!
