Akari-ya is a Japanese-style Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that opened in October 2007. The motto of the owner, who is from Osaka, and his wife, who is from Tottori, is "cherish the smiles of our famil |
We were going to order Salad pie 980 yen, Oyama chicken salt-grilled 680 yen, and rolled omelet 550 yen. It was within our budget, so we decided to go with that, but the owner stopped us, saying it was too much. As a result, we decided to just order Salad pie 980 yen and Koshiabura Tempura 550 yen, and then add more after consulting with our stomachs. First, we ordered Koshiabura Tempura, a mountain vegetable with a mild bitter taste. It was just the right amount for three people to share. Our recommended menu item, Salad pie 980 yen, lettuce wrapped in pie dough with cheese and sesame sauce. We ate the first two slices well, saying it was delicious, but after the fourth slice, we decided we wouldn't order any more. It seems like the pie dough fills you up straight away. We found that our restaurant is just the right amount for three people. Next time, we'll order Oyama chicken salt-grilled and rolled omelet.
