I had the grouper meal for 3,980 yen and the sashimi meal for 2,500 yen. It is located in front of Wakayama Station, on the 5th floor of the building where the Hotel Granvia is located. It is a Japanese-style meal restaurant. There seem to be various Japanese-style meal on the menu, so I had the grouper meal recommended by Wakayama for lunch. The main dish is a Wakayama specialty grouper meal. Grouper is a saltwater fish also called ara in Kyushu, and is a fish that is highly valued for sashimi and Chanko nabe. This grouper meal included grouper sashimi and hot pot. The sashimi grouper is eaten with sudachi, momiji oroshi, green onions, etc., just like how you eat puffer fish. The meat is chewy and the taste itself is light, but it is a satisfying taste to eat. I realized that grouper is delicious. The hot pot is made by putting grouper and vegetables in a small pot with a thin broth. It's not bad to eat this with ponzu, but I prefer the sashimi. In addition to the above, the grouper meal comes with several Small dish, a Tempura platter, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), and dessert.
