かみさんが上野動物園のパンダを観に行きたいと言って、何度もネット抽選に応募したものの、全てハズレたため、だったら白浜の浜家を観に行こうと、酔っ払ってアドベンチャーワールドを予約。しちゃった手前、行かざるを得なくなって、ホテル等予約し、白浜に来てしまいました。
で、どこに食べに行こうかと思ったのですが、やはり予約がしたい（行き当たりばったりは嫌だ）、白浜と言えば寿司、コースメインのお店だと小食の私達には量的に辛いので個別に頼みたい、といったオーダーを満たしてくれるこの店を予約。
行ってみると、正に回らない寿司屋の典型のような雰囲気。
コレは、回らない寿司屋には友人に誘われて何度か行ったことはあるが、友人の主導の元でしか注文出来なかった私には敷居が高いぞ。でも、私も50歳。年期がモノを言うところもあるし、年齢とともに身についた知識と経験もある。何よりもかみさんの前でカッコ悪い姿は見せられない。
てなことで、全能力を駆使して板前さんとコミュニケーションをとり、色々食べさせてもらった。
特に、クエ鍋は白身ながら中々濃厚な味わいで美味しかった。
最初はビールから入って、和歌山の日本酒を頼んだ頃には調子に乗ってきて、板前さんと色々喋りながら、ほっき貝や揚げいわしなど食べさせてもらう。どれもどこが美味しいか教えてもらって食べるので、めちゃくちゃ旨い。
最後は土瓶蒸しを頼んでそれを飲んで締めた。
土瓶蒸しは、キノコ嫌いなかみさんも、松茸の香りに感動していた。コレは過去にない収穫。
ということで、旅先でとても貴重な体験が出来ました。
