On Wednesday, February 14th, we headed to Fisherman's Wharf Shirahama before heading to the airport. Stroll around the fresh fish corner on the first floor while admiring the pottery. For lunch, I went to Shirahama Onsen Unagi Marukan on the 2nd floor. Immediately after entering, there is a grill area with charcoal fires. The location is near the sea, so I took a seat by the window. The inside of the store is quite large. From the menu, I ordered the eel ju (3,190 yen). While you wait, enjoy some tea from the Hikigawa River and snack on some fragrant eel bones. After a while, the food appeared. When you open the lid, the eel is sitting neatly. It seems that today's eel is from Mie Prefecture. The meat is moist because it has been steamed in Shirahama Onsen. It is grilled over the charcoal fire located at the entrance of the store. We recommend eating it while adding domestically produced sansho powder on the table and homemade eel sauce. Kimosui is also firmly attached. I like that there are 4 types of aromatics. They also had Kuroge Wagyu beef and kiniku set meals, so I'll try those next time.
