両親が和歌山の田辺市出身のため、小さいころは毎年夏冬に当時国鉄の「くろしお」や「きのくに」
に天王寺駅から乗って皆で往復しました。
祖父母が何か行事のたびこちらから仕出してもらってたのを覚えています。
祖父母が亡くなってからはお墓参りくらいでしたが、家族で行くと決まってこちらでランチ。駅から近いので便利なのと、味が折り紙付きだからかな。両親は田辺に帰ってきた！と安心するらしいです。
南紀の魚は美味いですよ。
海が近いから鮮度もよくて、種類も関東には無い魚もある。
千葉の房総に白浜や勝浦など和歌山にある地名が多いのは、千葉に来てから少し調べた限りでは、昔、和歌山からの移住者が多かったからだそうですね、納得。そういえば、南房総の雰囲気も南紀に似てる気がします。
しばらく行けてませんが、コロナが落ち着いたら両親を連れてまた行きたいです。
