紀伊田辺のみに展開されるチェーン店よし平グループ。うどん屋・寿司・丼ぶりを中心に、とんかつ・天ぷら・焼き鳥からバームクーヘンまで8店舗ほど展開されています。その中の天ぷらの店舗になります。手ごろな価格で揚げたての重くない天ぷらが頂けるお店です。

家に帰る前に和歌山で遅めのお昼に立ち寄りました。ホテルの近くでよし平といううどん屋さんの看板が出ていたのを何度か見かけており、帰り道だしそこに行こうとGoogleで住所検索。カーナビで向かうと何故か天ぷら屋さんに到着しました。後から分かりましたが、よし平さんはグループ展開されているお店で、Googleで違う店舗を間違えて選択していたようです。
いかにもファミリーレストランな店構えに一瞬躊躇しましたが、折角来たので、天ぷらを食べることにしました。14時過ぎだったため、店内は先客ほとんどおらず。食券で「よし平お楽しみコース980円」を注文しました。着席すると、お味噌汁をひとはめ汁という田辺市の名物料理に変更できるとのこと。折角なので、変更しました。
ここは着席して食券を渡すと、揚げたての天ぷらを順番に持ってきて頂けます。これで、980円ならなかなかお得な感じはありますね。新しいタイプのファミリーレストランです。
えび、太刀魚、紀州梅どり、帆立、ピーマン、ナス、なんきんと7種類。太刀魚はなかなかの大きさで魚の天ぷらが好きな自分には嬉しいところ。天ぷらは全体的にさくっと揚がっており、そして油っこさや油臭さもなく、なかなか美味しいです。ひとはめ汁は結構良い食感の海草がたっぷり入っていて満足感はあります。
店内を見渡すと、天ぷらの個別注文も出来るみたいですね。変り種では、バームクーヘンの天ぷらなんてのもありました。
近くにあるとたまに来てしまいそうななかなか良いお店です。白浜に旅行で、とれとれ市場はちょっと。。って時に寄ってみるのも面白いかと思います。ちなみに、天かすも無料で持ち帰り可能なので、家に帰ってからうどんにお好み焼きにと楽しめます。ごちそうさまでした。
