この日は翌日の仕事に備えて、夜に山形へ移動。
山形駅に到着後、L.O.20:00のそば屋に急いで向かったところ、時間的には間に合っているはずなのに、なぜかお店は閉まっています。
気を取り直して山形駅に戻り、もう１軒ブックマークしてあったL.O.21:00のそば屋に入ろうとしたら、こちらは19:30までの短縮営業中との貼り紙が。
さらに、駅隣接の平牧もL.O.は20:00。
となると、宿泊予定のホテルのレストランがL.O.20:30とあるので、寒さも厳しいからそこで済ませようとホテルに向かったところ、なんと現在は夜の営業を行っておらず...
チェックインした後に近隣を探してみたのですが、この時間に開いているのは居酒屋ばかりという、下戸の一人メシにはかなり厳しい状況に追い込まれることになりました。
〆用のラーメン屋も考えたのですが、見つけたお店はなぜか長浜ラーメンで、せっかく山形に来てそれは避けたいかな、と。
そうこうしているうちに、なんとか見つけたのがこちらの寿司屋。
ここも基本、居酒屋状態にはなっていますが、カウンターのある寿司屋ならサクッと握りを食べて、という使い方も可能ですので。
注文したのは、特上寿司（3,000円）と茶碗蒸し（350円）、ノンアルコールビール（440円）にお通し（265円）が加算されて、計4,055円（税込）。
海のある街ではないので、地物を楽しんだりできるわけではないですが（「豊洲直送」「富山直送」とか書かれていたので、基本地元客がターゲットなのでしょう）、ネタの質はなかなかいい感じでした。
最初は空いていたカウンター席ですが、21時過ぎから続けてお客さんが入ってきます。
隣には若いアジア系外国人旅行者の２人連れが、飲み目的ではなく寿司を食べに来店し、「オー、グリーンティー、OK」とか片言の英語でやり取りしていましたが、夜の山形で、いろんなニーズに応えている、貴重な存在なのではないかと思います。
