本日は、朝早くに徳山港からフェリーで出航し、念願の回天記念館・回天訓練基地跡を見学した。万感の思いとともに徳山港に帰港し、防府市桑の山公園内の料亭「桑華苑」に向かう。中国山地皿ケ嶺連峰国東半島流れ出る養分の集まる西瀬戸内海は天然鱧の好漁場のようだ。山口県防府市にその天然鱧を贅沢に取り扱う料亭があるらしい。ランチだったが、３泊４日山陰・山陽の旅、最終飯なので豪勢にコース料理の鱧づくし（7,700円）を予約していた。お椀には、鱧の食道（鱧笛）が入っている。お造りは、湯引き鱧と珍しい鱧肝。お鍋は、鱧しゃぶと針野菜。焼き物は、炙り鱧と鱧の胃袋。その他もろもろてんこ盛りに出てきた。最後は、鱧雑炊。もう大満足でした。仲居さんも明るく爽やかで好感度大だ。このようなお店が首都圏にあると大切な時間を過ごせるのだがな～。
