Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) located a short walk south of the Yamanashi Prefectural Office. I visited around 9pm on a Sunday night, and it didn't seem very crowded. Since this is a restaurant that sells fresh fish and local chicken, I ordered the following menu items. ① Otoshi (410 yen) Simmered dish taro and fried tofu, vinegared salmon and Vinegared dish. I think it was good that the menu wasn't made with leftovers, which is common at other Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). ② Eighty-eight sea bream sashimi (626 yen) A dish with 6 pieces of sea bream sashimi topped with shiso leaves, daikon tsuma, etc. I thought the sea bream was fresh and delicious, but it was a mystery to me why there was so much wasabi on it. ③Miso pickled tofu (518 yen) A dish of silken tofu marinated in miso and garnished with shredded green perilla and seaweed. Even though it is called miso-zuke, it does not have a strong taste, and I think it is delicious when eaten a little at a time with sake. ④ Grilled skewer Negimi (@248 yen) *Minimum order is 2 yakitori This is Tokushima prefecture's Awaodori Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and you can choose the seasoning from sauce or salt, but this time I chose the sauce. Although the seasoning was orthodox, I was able to appreciate the goodness of the chicken and it was delicious. ⑤Kasube Karaage (518 yen) from Suttsu, Hokkaido A dish made with fried stingray fin meat. Stingray fin is often served with mirin-boshi (mirin-boshi), but I personally recommend eating it this way as it gives it more volume and allows you to enjoy a different texture. ⑥Mitarashi-style cake (486 yen) It looks like a tiramisu cake, but the brown sauce on top is not cocoa or caramel, but a sweet and spicy soy sauce-based sauce. Also, inside the dough was something with a chewy texture that seemed to be dumplings. When we think of Japanese-style cakes, we often think of matcha or Japanese chestnuts, but I think it would be nice to have a unique cake like this once in a while. I don't think there is a problem with the taste of the food, but I was concerned that no matter how long I waited for my bill, the waiter never came. It's basically a restaurant with private rooms, and I was told to pay at the table, so I waited, but I should have gone to the cash register from the beginning.
