While staying in Kawaguchiko during Golden Week, I wanted to eat something other than udon, so when I went out to buy some ingredients, I went to Ganges River to eat Indian Curry. As usual, I continued along Route 139 and tried to park my car in the parking lot, but to my surprise, it was full. I was surprised because I had never been unable to park my car at this store. Just as the couple started discussing what to do, they saw a customer come out of the store, and they swapped places with the customer and parked safely. Looking at the license plates of the cars parked in the parking lot, it seems that there are many cars from other prefectures, and there are many tourists as well as locals, as expected for Golden Week. When I parked my car and entered the store, it was lively and almost full. (Therefore, I am unable to take photos inside the restaurant, so I will only show you photos of the food on the table.) The lunchtime menu starts at 850 yen for a rice and curry set, and 890 yen for a set that comes with naan. You can choose from four types of lunches, including the number of curries and the presence or absence of tandoori chicken, up to AD, as well as a special lunch that includes everything, depending on the type and volume of dishes you want to eat. Sets A and B both have one type of curry, but the reason for the difference in price is that there are different types of curry to choose from. At A, you can choose only vegetables and chicken, and at B, you can choose from Seafood, spinach, or mutton. I think B has slightly more luxurious ingredients. Other, there is a "Children's Set" for children, which is also designed for families. There are two types of biryani: mutton and chicken. In addition, there is also a menu called ``Veg Fried Rice'', and we also have fried rice for veggies. The rice-based menu is basically basmati rice. Crispy basmati rice goes better with Indian Curry, but it's expensive, so some restaurants charge extra for basmati rice, but I'm thankful that basmati rice is standard. While looking at the menu...my wife decided on curry and my husband ordered biryani. Salad and soup were brought first. The salad is a combination of shredded cabbage, lettuce, and corn, and the orange French cuisine dressing has not changed at all. It comes with soup, but I forgot to take a picture of it. Cream of chicken soup in a small cup is the same as before. ■B Lunch Spinach Curry (950 yen) My wife ordered the B Lunch Set and the type of curry was spinach. "Sagu Chicken" is spinach curry with chicken. The curry has beautiful green spinach, and the surface is beautifully decorated with ginger, fresh cream, and fresh cream. I can feel their care. The floating red oil is probably chili oil that was used to adjust the spiciness. We ask for Level 3 Little Hot (medium spicy). When you take a bite, you can really taste the spinach, it's milder and easier to eat than you'd expect, and the chicken is perfectly stewed and has a nice flavor. As usual, the naan is large, and I think you can get an idea of its size by comparing it to the size of your hand, but it feels so big and filling that you might think that the part that protrudes from the basket is bigger. The edges were thick and the texture was chewy, and the slightly sweetness was good.It was so delicious that you could easily eat it on its own.You could have had a second helping, but if you eat it with the curry, one piece is enough. It was delicious till the end. ■Chicken Biryani (1,290 yen) My husband ordered chicken biryani, and it was served with raita, which is salted yogurt with vegetables. The biryani has a hint of spice throughout that makes you think it's stir-fried rather than cooked, and the white rice on the surface seems to have been sprinkled on as a garnish afterwards. This biryani has a strong salty and spicy taste throughout, and the bone-in chicken makes a good stock, giving it a strong chicken flavor. As it looked, it was very voluminous, and I was able to eat it all, so it was the usual size. At the end, we had hot chai. The lunch set comes with a drink, and you can also choose from lassi. I finished the meal with a delicious cup of chai that left my palate feeling mild. Please note that biryani is a single item menu and does not come with a set drink. I think the lunch set is a great value as it sometimes comes with a drink. Many people come to Lake Kawaguchi and think of Indian Curry, but it has a good balance of volume and flavor, and is recommended for long-term stays. I'm thankful that the price remained the same even in the recent rush to raise prices, and I can understand why it's becoming popular. I would like to visit you again.
