Ichibiki Co., Ltd. is a food manufacturer that brews miso and soy sauce in Aichi Prefecture. When the previous proprietress of our restaurant was a teenager, she worked as an apprentice to the founder of this restaurant (the Nakamura family). I heard that the Nakamura family had a lot of trust in him because of his serious nature. After getting married, in 1939, she opened ``Kappo Ichibiki'' with the approval of Ichibiki Co., Ltd. Our secret sauce is Tamari soy sauce and soy sauce from Ichibiki Co., Ltd. since our establishment.

The eel carefully selected by the owner is not steamed, and is carefully grilled over charcoal to bring out its aroma. The technique of sprinkling water on the skin and grilling results in a soft, steamed-grilled finish. The aroma of the secret sauce that has been used since the company's founding spreads in the mouth, and the fluffy texture with just the right amount of fat has been very well received. Please enjoy the luxurious harmony with the carefully selected Koshihikari.

When you pull back the door of our store, a long space opens out, just like an eel's bed. The interior of the store, which has been expanded and renovated many times since its founding, is filled with the attention to detail of its predecessors, where you can feel the history everywhere, such as the bamboo work, lattice work, and small courtyard with bright lights. Additionally, as we are currently a small family-run restaurant, we operate on a numbered ticket system during the day and by reservation at night. We also have Kaiseki and can accommodate banquets for 15 to 20 people, so please feel free to contact us.

We have a variety of small bowls and eel bowls, but the most recommended is the Tokujodon (4,200 yen). It varies depending on the size of the eel purchased that day, but it is full of 1 and a half to 2 eels, making it very filling. Be sure to try ``Unagi Mushi'', a dish unique to Nagoya. We also have a la carte dishes such as ``Shirayaki'' and ``Uzaku,'' so please enjoy them to your heart's content with Hakutsuru, special Junmai Kamo Kanehide, Shichida Junmai, and other alcoholic beverages.
