I came to Hachinohe, a city I like as much as Akita City. I've never tried Senbei (rice crackers) soup at a restaurant, so I went to La Plaza?, which says it's Local Cuisine. It's a huge restaurant that's long and deep, which you wouldn't expect from its small, tasteful exterior! It's even bigger than the big chain restaurants in front of train stations! It has room for over 100 seats, but I don't think they can handle it (lol). I sat down, cleared my pants with beer, and immediately ordered Senbei (rice crackers) soup. The staff was a god of customer service, and I was already impressed -Senbei (rice crackers) soup arrived! Hmm, I wonder if there's a certain way to eat it ('ω' 三 'ω' ) I broke one and left the other as it was. I tried it after it had been cooked for a while and had softened. The soup was light and delicious - Maybe it wasn't cooked enough. The broth seems to be different for each store and each household, and Hachinohe people say, "Ours is the best," so it's like Odate's Kiritanpo.
