今年も去年と同じお店で年越しそばをいただこうと思っていたのですが、どうしたことか今年はお休みであるとのことで…
急遽、探し出した『山茶花そば椿』が開店する11:30にお邪魔してみますと、既にお二人さまが店頭で待たれていたのであります
これは入店されたばかりのお客さまが食事を終えるまで、早くても30分は待たなければならないだろうと覚悟を決めて並ぶことにいたします
待つこと20分ほど
店内へと案内されますと、カウンター2席とテーブル2卓6席が置かれるだけの小さなお店でありまして…
3組しか案内されないことから、開店直後に満席になっていたことも頷けます
いただいたカウンター席でありますが、忙しい時であるにもかかわらず隣の席へ荷物を置いて良いとの声掛けにありがたさを感じるだけでなく、無理して多くのお客さまを案内されないことに、おいしいお蕎麦を提供してくれるに違いないとの期待も高まります
昨日と今日は商品を限定した特別メニューとなっていまして…
お蕎麦は“もり”と“かけ”のみでありますし、一品料理も海老天とごぼう天、かしわ飯だけであったことから迷うことなく、「もりそば」の大盛りに海老天を2本添えることにいたします
小麦粉の割合が多いということではないのですが蕎麦の香りが弱いように思えたことや短く切れていたことは残念でありましたが、宗田節の香りが広がる辛汁でいただく細打ちのお蕎麦はキチっとしめられていることもあって喉越しが良くおいしくいただくことができました
添えた海老天は業務用天ぷら粉で揚げられたであろうものですし、海老も保水加工されたものであったりと、こだわりが感じられなかったことが残念に思えます
とは言え、待っている間にも数組のお客さまが来店されましたし、予約をしていたであろうお蕎麦を受け取りに来られるお客さまが続いたりと人気のお店であろうことを窺い知ることができました
