2010-12-2715:05:29 Posted by deluxerascal Shirokiya in Aizuwakamatsu Theme: Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) I used Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) on my trip. I went to Shirokiya thinking it would be safe since there was a major chain store there. When I walked in, I was surprised to find that there was no one there. It took a while for the staff to come out from the back. I sat down at a table and ordered hot sake since it was cold. The appetizer that came out was edamame even though it was cold. I'm surprised that there is no sense of season. What's more, I was even more surprised at how small the portions were for two people. We also ordered a Caesar salad and a green salad. It was just a normal salad. However, in both cases, it was disappointing that the arrangement was smaller than in the photo on the menu. Garlic sausage. This was quite filling. Since it was spicy, I was able to enjoy the hot sake quickly (^∇^) We ordered 3 types of skewers for two people. Tsukune, chicken skin, and bonjiri. Some parts of it were burnt, but it was delicious. The chicken skin and bonjiri are priced at 100 yen each. I think 200 yen for meatballs is expensive. Chicken nanban. The way it was fried was normally crispy and delicious. However, the chicken is quite small. The amount of cabbage at the bottom was also much smaller than what was on the menu, so I had to order more green salad to finish off the oily nanban. Also, this Steak. . . . I ordered it because it said Steak, but no matter how I looked at it, it was just thin grilled meat. It was a dish that made me think, ``Nothing like this!'' Although I could choose not only Japanese-style sauce, when it was served there was grated radish on top, making it a strange menu. This is a menu item you should be careful about. The food as a whole was a little disappointing, so I decided to have the chocolate parfait. However, this parfait also had a lot of bananas and little cream, so it wasn't a great value at all. Overall, Shirokiya's prices are low. . That's what I thought, but that wasn't the case. Looking at the details, in addition to the appetizer fee, for some reason there was a seat fee~(ノ◇≦.) Um~ I'm the one who put up with paying for such a poor appetizer, right? On top of that, I wondered what the seat fee was. Normally, there are many places that do not charge a seat fee once you have paid for the appetizer. Anyway, even though the taste wasn't all that great, I was given a paid appetizer that didn't have a seasonal feel to it, and on top of that I had to pay a seat fee, so I thought it was strange.
