福山駅、お城の反対側？１ｋｍ弱でしょうか？ なんせ初めての福山で地理関係がよくわからなかったのですがが、「福山で夜の食事ならここ」と勧められて訪問です。
商店街（のような）通りに面し、入口の上に掲げられた木の看板は古く、店の面構えは老舗風。
で、ちょっと敷居が高いのかと思ったものの中はそうではなく、店の中はカウンタ、テーブルと奥に座敷。
別に高級料亭の感じではなく、小料理屋の雰囲気さえあります。
鞆の浦辺りから新鮮な魚をはじめとして瀬戸内の魚を持ってくるとのこと。
「だから太平洋みたいなでっかい魚はいないよ」とは大将のジョーク？女将も気さくで家庭的な感じも。
お店を入ったところにある水槽が小さいのは新鮮な魚がすぐ近くから手に入るから、大きな水槽不要ということでしょうか。
残念ながら一か月以上過ぎて、どれがその魚だったか記憶がはっきりしなくなりましたが、刺し身、塩焼き、煮付け等、魚料理はいずれもおいしかったです。
この手の料理は焼酎ロック、冷酒と進むことこの上なし。やはり料理と同じだけアルコールにかかってしまうこと間違いありません。
