Due to the opening of the Minami 2-jo store on October 10, 2014, we will no longer be open for lunch or on Sundays. The gamecocks from Omi, Shiga Prefecture that we use at Jiki are fed safe food and carefully raised for more than twice as long as broiler chickens. This chicken is sweet, has a strong flavor due to its low fat content, and has just the right amount of texture. As of September 9, 2009, all seats are non-smoking. |
西１８丁目で用事があり、ちょっと足を伸ばして円山でご飯を食べてから帰ろうと思ったのですが、外はヒドイ雪…。近場で済ませる作戦に変更し、近くに良いお店がないか知人に聞いたところコチラの「直」さんを紹介していただきました。
お店に伺うと若い方やカップルなどが多く、オシャレ焼き鳥屋さんといった印象です。
メニューに目を通すと居酒屋的なメニューもあるようですが、ここはやはり焼き鳥で。おまかせ6本というのを頼んでみました。精肉やハツ、つくね などを頂きました（あと３本は失念…）。基本的に塩のみのようで、つくねには京都の黒七味が添えられるなどお店のこだわりを感じます。
焼き鳥だけでは流石にお腹に余裕があるので、次に何を頼もうかとお酒をチビリとやりながら周りを見渡すと、楽しそうに水炊きをつついているカップルさんがいらっしゃって、心も身体も温かそうで色々な意味でちょっと羨ましかったのですが、残念ながらコチラは男１人での来店なので、水炊き鍋はあきらめてお店のオススメという親子丼とスープを頼みました。
供されたスープは白濁しており、水炊きのスープと共通なのでしょう。薬味に刻み生姜が浮かんでいます。鶏のエキスが濃厚に出た美味しいスープですが、生姜は好き嫌いがあるかもしれませんね。私個人としては葱などの方が好みです。
親子丼の方は色々な部位の鶏肉が入っており、ある意味では焼き鳥屋さんならではの珍しい親子丼です。ただし私個人の好みとしてはシンプルな親子丼を期待していただけにちょっと残念…。卵のとじ加減もちょっと好みではありませんでした。
おじさん達がたむろする煙がもうもうとした焼き鳥屋さんとは違うオシャレな雰囲気なので、デートや接待には良いかもしれませんね。次に伺うとしたら水炊きを頼んでみます。
