西宮の竹葉亭
阪神西宮駅の南、徒歩10分くらいの白鷹禄水苑に併設された鰻料理の老舗店。西宮神社のえべっさんに参拝した帰りに寄った。竹葉亭は、江戸時代末期に江戸の剣術道場士学館の近くで創業。店名の竹葉は、ささに通じ酒の雅称である。今回、2人で昼に訪問し、江戸前ひつまぶし桃(¥4070×2)を頂いた。竹葉亭の主人は、絵画に目が利き、北大路魯山人から、美を知るものはたとえ商売が何屋であっても、どこかそれだけ違うものがある、と評されたという。そんな雰囲気の中、美味しく頂いた。

久しぶりに昼再訪。今回は海鮮ちらし寿司(¥3630)と瓶ビール(キリン中、¥990)を頼んだ。海鮮ちらし寿司には、茶碗蒸しと赤だしが付く。海鮮ちらし寿司に鰻は付いてこないが、色々な魚がたっぷり入っていて美味しかった。白鷹の酒とも合うだろう。次回は酒と共に味わうつもり。
