明石駅南口から東南へ徒歩数分、綺麗な店構えの老舗の寿司屋。創業は昭和25年(1950年)で、西神そごう百貨店や大丸芦屋店にも出店している。
立派な門構えだが、門前にランチメニューが置いてあり、ランチはお得そうだったので入ってみた。
店内1階入ってすぐに待合席と会計があり、その先に4人の寿司職人がいて、20人掛けくらいの長いカウンターが並んでいる。カウンター席の後ろに4人掛けテーブル席が３組ある。2階は座敷となっているらしい。
店内はゆったりとしていて落ち着ける。
横長の大きな食器箪笥に、几帳面に皿が並んでいる。
今回初めて来て、上にぎり(¥2900)と中瓶のアサヒビール(¥600)を頼んだ。赤だしが付いてくる。ビールは、アサヒ、キリン、エビスから選べる。
今回の上にぎりは、烏賊、鮪、鯛、鰤、焼き穴子、海老、イクラ、穴キュウだった。
ゆっくり食べることができていい。蛸の季節にまた来てみたい。
