Satsuma's Commitment - Preparation of hot spring water "Miracle of Satsuma" -

We use "Satsuma no Kiseki" for cooking rice, shabu shabu, and diluting shochu. The difference in taste of food and drinks is obvious when you use super-soft, natural alkaline hot spring water!

This hot spring water is also used as water for Yataimura shochu. The water is extremely soft with a hardness of 0.6 to 1.5, and alkaline with a pH of 9.18 to 9.65.Although it is extremely soft water, it is unusual in that it contains 74mg/L of silica. ■When you cook rice, you will get a sticky rice that is sweet and fragrant. ■For shabu shabu, after soaking in hot water, the shabu meat is chewy and crispy without any roughness on the surface. What's more, the silica contained in this shabu-shabu allows Kurobuta's collagen to work efficiently on the body, making it a beautiful shabu shabu. ■It is also used to prepare our original "Satsuma Ponzu Sauce", which is a mellow ponzu sauce with a strong aroma of bonito flakes and kelp stock. ■When used to mix shochu with water, the corners of the shochu will come off, and when mixed with water or hot water, the sense of unity between shochu and water will make you feel that the shochu was originally like that. Please enjoy the food and drinks that are made with water.
