ホテルの8階だが、テーブル席からは中庭が見える。石庭と築山が組み合わさったような庭。
ランチメニューの「旬の味覚会席『かさね』」がディナーでも同じ値段で食べられる。アルコール提供がないディナーなら、ランチメニューくらいが丁度良く、気が利いている。
全体を通して食材にも演出にも清涼感があり、日本料理の職人が古くから積み重ねてきた工夫を感じる。
【前菜】朝顔に見立てた盛り付け。多種を少しずつ食べ胃袋が鳴る。
【椀盛り】梅肉と柚子とで清涼感。
【造里】蓮の葉が皿になっていて清涼感。
【サービス】祝いの席だと伝えたら赤飯を鯛の器で出してくれた！
【合肴】三つ葉と生姜と喉ごしで清涼感。
【焼物】鮎の塩焼き。ほうじ茶で燻されて清涼感。鮎の骨せんべいが美味しくてビックリ。
【煮物】揚げ物の煮びたしと素麺で清涼感。
【食事】太刀魚のさっぱりした味と生姜や大葉で清涼感。
【水菓子】水晶玉のようで涼やか。冷たい抹茶も濃くて美味しい。
とても満足なコース。
人生の節目にまた来たい。
ちょっとたどたどしいがホスピタリティが感じられる若い係員がサーブしてくれたが、それをベテラン係員が睨むように見張っている。一緒に怒られそうで、こちらもピリッとした気持ちになる。
手伝ったベテラン係員がオーダーを間違えて逆に出したのだが、若い係員は承知していて、ベテラン係員がいなくなってからそっと訂正して詫びを添えてくれた。逆だったらどんなに叱られていたことか…。終始、若い係員が失敗しないように祈っていたら、ちょっと疲れた。頑張れ、若い係員！
日曜の夜だったこともあり客は数組。客が少ないと自分達の声ばかりが響いてしまい、係員に聞かれて困る話もないのだが、つい小声になってしまう。そんな日はBGMのボリュームを少し上げてもらえると嬉しいかも。もっとも、客がたくさん入っている方が皆のために良いね。
