Since our establishment, we have always delivered freshly prepared eel and freshly cooked rice. [Kappo Kabayaki Wakana] was founded in 1895. When you step inside through the noren curtains that give you a sense of history, you will find yourself in a calm space reminiscent of a long-established store. The first floor is the kitchen, and the second floor has table seats where you can casually enjoy eel. We also have a spacious tatami room on the third floor. There is a hanging scroll in the alcove, making everyone feel relaxed in the calm Japanese space. Perfect for banquets, entertainment, celebrations and condolences, and other family occasions. Wakana was founded in the 5th year of the Meiji era by the first generation Kichizo Hashimoto. The first generation was the eldest son of the famous confectionery ``Kamenoko Senbei Wakanaya'', which was originally requested by a feudal lord as a souvenir for his wife when she was transferred to Sankin. However, the first generation, who was originally a playboy, disliked the family business and did not inherit the family business. One day, I helped two eel chefs who were short on money and took care of them, which is how our restaurant [Wakana] started.
