I visited on a weekday at noon. I had a lunch called Aya Lunch for 2,900 yen (tax included). Small dish was accompanied by Yuba Yuba, Yuzu Miso Tofu, and Chawanmushi, and although the seasoning was a little strong, it was delicious. Next came the tofu salad and tofu shumai, and the tofu shumai in particular was a specialty, and it was a piping hot and flavorful dish. The lotus root manju that was served as a side dish tended to be overshadowed by the namafu dengaku and fried tofu, but it was a dish with an enjoyable texture. The main dish of boiled tofu will turn cloudy after about 10 minutes, which is a signal that it is ready to eat. It is piping hot to the core, so be careful when eating it. The seasonal dish that came with yuba soup and pickled vegetables was matsutake mushroom rice. The after-meal dessert, tofu ice cream, made me want coffee. It was added for an additional 250 yen. It looked so nice that I asked about it and was told that the coffee cup was made of Imari ware.
