R5.11.06 First visit ``Kyoto-style Oden and Seasonal Vegetables Jisan'' is located on the first floor of a building that is difficult to find unless you do some research in advance, a 2-3 minute walk from Shin-Sugita Station. On this day, my wife and I visited and ate mainly oden while sharing. Honestly, it's quite delicious. Each piece of work is carefully done, yet it's cheap! An incredible store has been born... [Japanese sake "Inazo" half cup <750 yen>] We ordered a half cup of Japanese sake "Inazo" from the sake that the owner carefully purchases. After feeling the elegant and fresh aroma, the solid flavor spreads throughout your mouth. Still, it's sharp, so it's easy to drink...this is a sinful drink. [Appetizer (300 yen)] Grated salmon roe and Prosciutto wrapped in prosciutto. Ikura oroshi is the perfect dish to enjoy before drinking alcohol. What a great value for money for a 300 yen appetizer. Tofu wrapped in Prosciutto is a delicious tofu with the sweetness of soybeans, and the salty Prosciutto goes perfectly with it. What a great value for money at 300 yen (second time). [Okizuke Hotaru Squid <500 yen>] Well, this is another strong flavor that goes well with Japanese sake. Hotaru Squid is produced in Toyama Prefecture. I think the dipping sauce is probably designed to go well with alcohol. Even though it was heavily seasoned, I could feel the strong flavor of the firefly squid. Occasionally, there are also okizuke, which is made by using a strong pickle sauce to disguise the flavor. [About providing oden] Even if you order all the oden in bulk, each item will be provided individually. This is just a guess on my part, but it seems like they are considering the order in which they will serve the food based on the type of drinks and food ordered and the progress of the food. You can feel the chef's strong commitment to the dishes and presentation. [Radish (280 yen)] Radish with oden soup. There was a sprinkling of yam kelp and green onions. Kelp and maybe bonito flakes? The combination of mildly flavored dashi soup and light soy sauce is exceptional. I can drink just this forever (lol). [Chikuwa (220 yen)] Personally, when I think of oden, I cannot leave out the radish and chikuwa. It is sprinkled with green seaweed and mitsuba leaves, which makes a great accent. This can be said about the daikon radish mentioned earlier and all other oden dishes, but the oden soup is soaked in the soup and is absolutely delicious. [Hanpen (280 yen)] This hanpen has a surprising twist. Surprisingly, the hanpen is served with butter, and the hanpen is eaten by melting the butter in the oden soup. The butter and oden soup go perfectly together, and the sweetness of the butter brings out the flavor of the soup even more. The hanpen was fluffy and very delicious. [Beef tendon <400 yen>] Beef tendon stewed until melty. It has been carefully prepared and has no unpleasant taste or odor. [Yuba <220 yen>] The yuba comes with mitsuba leaves, so you can wrap it in the yuba. Yuba has the sweetness of soybeans. It goes well with mitsuba, and is completely different from yuba, which just goes down the throat. [Kinchaku soft-boiled egg <300 yen>] The sweetness of the soft-boiled egg's yolk and the oden soup were so great that the presence of the Kinchaku might have been a little weak. The seaweed that was secretly added was also delicious. [Oden Dashi Chazuke (450 yen)] My wife ordered this as a finale. I'll refrain from writing a review since I just received one. [Oolong tea (200 yen)] [Jasmine high (480 yen)] Additional drinks. Jasmine High is very delicious and the alcohol content is low so you can drink it easily. Oolong tea is the taste of oolong tea that you imagine (lol). [Service/Atmosphere] The general manager runs the business by himself. Anyway, his personality is amazing! Even though he is still young, I get a strong sense of his passion for cooking and alcohol, and I am impressed by his careful work. It seems like there are already some regulars, and the conversation between the general and the regulars makes for a nice snack (lol). I really love the atmosphere and have already become a fan of this store. I will definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal!
