I made a reservation with my family on a holiday night. The restaurant is located at the west exit of the Minami-Rinkan Station bridge ticket gate. It is a little further down the road that diagonally enters from the right of the rotary on the right (there is a sign that is easily visible on the rotary). Today is my first visit in about 10 years. When I called the day before, I was told that "We have reserved a seat, but please understand that the order may change." Well, I thought that since I made a reservation, I wouldn't have to wait, so I arrived about 10 minutes before the reservation time. I opened the door and entered the restaurant. The kitchen staff did not make eye contact or greet me. After a while, the owner came out and when I told him my name, he told me to put my name on the waiting list and wait outside, regardless of whether I had a reservation or not (this was my first experience of being asked to write my name as a customer with a reservation). Ah, so that's what you say on the phone. Still, the staff should at least say hello. First impressions decide everything. I was guided to a table seat for four in the middle. The owner also gave instructions to the customers who made reservations after this. It may have something to do with the operation, but I don't know the exact reason. The first drink is ordered verbally, but after that, it is ordered by scanning a QR code. First, the drinks. S-dry draft mug 590 yen (tax not included, same below) x 2, oolong tea 290 yen, jasmine tea 290 yen. Appetizer 300 yen x 4, chopped cabbage. The charcoal grill is small in diameter and has a net about twice as large. This gives the impression that it will be cooked well (it will not be overcooked and left unattended). The charcoal grill dishes are Hormone Sanmai (white marinated, tontoro, soft horumon stir-fried → this is a kitchen cooking dish) 1,800 yen, and 3 kinds of beef assortment (kalbi 60g / loin 70g / skirt steak 70g) 1,790 yen x 2. Cooked dishes include spicy miso-marinated beef tendon 590 yen and soft boiled tongue 890 yen (it was so delicious I had a second helping). The horumon is good. The seasoning of the soft stir-fried horumon is exquisite. I also like the spicy miso-marinated beef tendon. It's not spicy at all, and you can enjoy the gelatinous texture of the tendon. The fat of the tanshita is well removed and the meat is soft overall, which is the best. Drinks include Sharikin Hoppy (no ice) 640 yen, Lemon Sour 490 yen, Hyoketsu Odawara Lemon Sour 490 yen, (regular) Hoppy 590 yen (Naka Shochu 300 yen), etc. Grilled dishes can be added for Shiromaru 690 yen, Nodobue 690 yen, and Bikkuri Skirt Steak 1,290 yen. Grilled dishes tend to be pretty similar when served with sauce. Hormone and Nodobue have more individuality than that. They change the net frequently, which is good. It's a small space with round stools, so you can't stay for long. I guess the reason I liked the dishes overall was because of the selection. The owner is fighting alone, but I wonder why there is no overall feeling of welcome. It had been a while since our last visit and we had high expectations, so my family and I were left disappointed.
