２０１９年１０月下旬、訪問。
ＮＰＯ法人「日本環境斎苑協会」の「第３３回全国火葬情報交換会・施設見学会」で初熊本。会場は、再開発された熊本市中央区桜町地区に新しくできた熊本城ホール。午前中の講演、表彰式。午後の熊本市斎場見学後、夜は、熊本市役所最上階１４階にある「ダイニングカフェ彩」での懇親会。その後、翌日の「火葬フォーラム」で私が推薦して講演していただく葬祭ジャーナリストの碑文谷創（ひもんや・はじめ）先生に誘われて２人で２次会。幸い、２人のホテルが近かったので、ホテル近くの西銀座通りという通りにある、こちらで１時間半ほど楽しんだ。麦焼酎の水割り数杯、枝豆、馬刺し、魚料理２品。会話が弾んで、料理の写真を一部、撮り忘れた。平日の午後８時半頃になるとお店が空いてきたが、若い女性店員の方の応対が、親切で好感が持てた。全品美味しかったが、特に写真を撮り忘れた魚料理が美味しかった。注文は、碑文谷先生に、お任せだったので、詳しくは覚えていない。久しぶりに碑文谷先生とお話が出来て楽しかった。映画「おくりびと」の原案者の青木新門氏も、８０代半ばだが、まだ、お元気だとのこと。何より。お代は、碑文谷先生に、おごっていただいたので不明。楽しかった。
