Located in Kyoto's Gosho-minami area, on Ishigawa-dori. There's a menu and a no-smoking sign posted next to the entrance, and there's plenty of a la carte options at affordable prices. It's a casual Japanese restaurant that I've always wanted to visit at least once. On this day, when we opened the door, we were told that no reservations were required. A young-looking male clerk greeted me pleasantly, and although there was one clerk who didn't respond, the male store owner was easy to talk to and gave me a good impression. In the end, I was able to enjoy myself comfortably. Inside the store, there are tables at the beginning and a counter space at the back. Looking at the menu, there is a wide selection of a la carte items such as sashimi, grilled dishes, Meat Dishes dishes and Tempura dishes, and tempura. There are several course dishes and about 10 types of sake. The accompanying dishes were served first, and I ordered them along with beer and sake: ■□[b: Nagasaki bluefin tuna sashimi] (1200 yen) ■□[b: New potato manju] (900 yen) ■□[b : Sawara Saikyoyaki] (900 yen) ■□ [b: Indian curry] (900 yen) Both the new potato buns and Sawara Saikyoyaki have a solid taste that goes well with sake or beer. What particularly impressed me was the Indian curry. Deep, rich and mellow. With a taste of European-style curry combined with spices, the quality is higher than that of a typical curry specialty store. ■□[b: There are counter and table seats inside the store, and non-smoking]. The kitchen is in the back, so the live cooking experience is limited, but the man who runs the restaurant is friendly, and even though he looks young, he treats me very well. This is a casual kappo restaurant where you can drop by when you want to enjoy authentic Japanese-style meal without being too formal in the Gosho-minami area, which is dotted with many noteworthy restaurants.
