京都地下鉄の丸太町から比較的近い裏通りに一年半くらい前に出来たモダンフレンチ。
表には小さな目立たない門があるだけで、明確なサインは無く、さりげなく、お店の案内が置かれているだけ。そこから更に奥まった位置に実際のお店はあり、本当に隠れ家という雰囲気。お店を知らないとまず訪れることは無いし、気付かない。
またGoogle上では間違った場所に表示される状態になっていた様で、こちらを訪れようと思っても辿り着けなかった様です。間違った住所と正しい住所にそれぞれお店の情報が出ていたので、誰かの嫌がらせかもと思える感じでした。(修正済み)
建物は綺麗にリノベーションされていますが、店内からは手付かずの上の階の雰囲気がそのまま残されているのが見えて、将来的にはうまく使うと面白そう。
料理はランチで頂くディナーコース。
一品目は小さなグラスに入った薔薇の蒸留芳香水。薔薇や香りがメインのテーマにしている感じで、最初から薔薇の強い香りを感じられるのは女性ウケが良さそう。
実際に客層はほとんどが女性グループだということです。
チーズを入れて全10品というメニューですが、実際には前菜がスペイン料理の様にたくさんフィンガーフードが出てきます。
贅沢な雰囲気でどの料理も香りは良いのですが、若干、器や料理の温度が低すぎて、口に入れた時の感じはイマイチと思えるものがいくつかあった。冷菜や前菜でももう少し温度を上げたり、冷たいものと温かい素材を合わせるなどした方が味わいや素材の風味も良くなると思うので、ここはもう少し勉強してほしい。
ドリンクはワインの5杯のコースを頂きました。
厳密なペアリングは提供されていませんが、通常は泡、白、白、赤、赤という組み合わせらしいです。メニューの内容からみても、この組み合わせだと料理の流れと合わないなあと最初から心配する感じ。その日のコースに合わせてワインは杯数や内容は変えた方がクオリティは上がると感じました。ワイン自体はどれも美味しかったです。
チーズは色々と頂ける割にはリーズナブルなので、是非、追加して食べてほしい。
アマゾンカカオのジャムも美味しかったです。
食後のデザートや小菓子も手作りで手が混んでいる。
このままゆっくりとお茶を飲みながら長く時間を過ごす客も多そうです。
また帰り際にフィナンシェもお土産に頂きました。
食材にも力を入れていて、シェフのこだわりも見えるが、色々と多くの料理が出てもイマイチ、味わいの印象が残る料理は無いのだけれど、ジワジワと人気も出てきている様で、今後の進化が期待出来る。
また時間をおいて伺ってみたいと思います。
