8月に入ったある日、こちらのオーナーシェフ神田さんから「最高の夏鹿が入りました」との連絡をいただき、これは行かなければと思い伺いました。
しかし京都も暑い暑い。先ずは赤星で乾杯です。
夏鹿の焼く前のものを見せていただきましたが、見たことのない肉質と言いますか、サシの具合が凄いというか、鹿肉には見えないくらいでした。
そして最初に前菜4品をいただくのですがこれがまた美味い!
玉ねぎのタルトとデザート鬼灯と〆鯖のブルスケッタ盛り合わせやパリッと焼かれた鰻の下にマッシュポテトを敷いたもの、雉と若松茸の土瓶蒸し仕立て、そして夏鹿の炭焼。
やはり夏鹿は最高でした。この時点でワイン1本空きました。
ここからはメニュー表から選びたい放題、食べ放題!
食べたもの全部説明すると長文になり過ぎるので割愛させていただきます。
メニューの3分の2は食べましたかね。ワインもおっさん2人で計3本空きました。
和洋中、調理法や素材の組み合わせ方がシンプルなものから独創的なものまで本当に楽しめました!
因みにこちらの神田シェフ、RED U-35でブロンズエッグを受賞しております。
最近の若いシェフの皆さんの感性や感覚には驚かされるばかりです。
あっ、帰りにはお土産でお店で出されるパンをまるっと一ついただけますよ。
次回は来年の2月頃に冬のメニューを食べに行きたいですね。
