先日の大雨で貴船の川床がやっているのか心配だったが、人出も多くとてもにぎわっていた。
関西の人が夏になると鱧を食べたくなるように、私は夏になると床で鮎やそうめんが食べたくなる。
中でも、鴨川や高雄よりも貴船の川床が恋しくなる。
気温が市内と比べてかなり違うことと、川を跨ぐように張られた床は「納涼」という言葉がピッタリ。
他の追随を許さない。
私は、30年ほど前の大阪勤務時代から、幸運にもいろいろな人に床に誘われることが多く、ここ貴船についても目ぼしい店はほぼ行ったことがある。
中でも最も好きなのがここ「喜らく」さん。
床自体が広く落ち着いた雰囲気で食事ができる（床の小さなところは臨場感は増すが、少しだけ恐怖感があって落ち着かない）事と、何より料理の好みが合っている事。
今回も、「鱧の落とし」「鮎の塩焼き」「冷しとろろ」「すっぽんの土瓶蒸し」「そうめん」「うなぎ」「鴨」など、高級感はイマイチ劣るものの値段なりの美味しい料理だった。
大阪を離れた今でも年に１回程度は貴船を訪れているが、私の好みを知っている人は大体ここでもてなしてくれる。
熱い日の夕刻、今年も雨に当たることもなく素敵な時間を過ごすことができた。
