地方に行くと、食べたいものがありすぎて結構困るのが旅行あるある。
仙台で行くと牛たん、ホヤ、ずんだ、せりなどが有名ですよね。
でもこういうのを短い旅行期間に食べ切るのって結構難しい。
となった時に、やっぱり重宝できるのは居酒屋さんなのかなー。
このお店は仙台駅東口にあり、アクセスもよく手ごろに食べられるのがおすすめポイントの1つ。
地産地消を大切に、特に食べたかった牛タンも楽しめそうなので入ってみました。
立地がいいことも有、店内は賑わっているので予約はしておいた方が良さそうです。
それにしてもなんで仙台で牛たんが有名なのか気になり調べてみました。
戦後から食べられていた牛たん。アメリカ駐在員が多く牛肉の流通が多かったが、牛肉を加工した時に
牛たんやテールなどは余ってしまっていたようで、これをどうにかできないかと依頼を受けた「佐野啓四郎」さんという方が
牛たんを焼いてその美味しさに気付き、広まっていったと言われています。
庶民のイメージでは牛たんって結構高級品だから、まさかこんな背景があったなんて聞いてびっくりでした。
今回は下記をいただきました。
・お通し(だし巻き玉子、牛肉のしぐれ煮)
・厚切り牛タン炭火焼き
・石巻笹かま炙り
・カツオの刺身
・季節のポテサラ
・牛タンつくね串
・超濃厚ヨーグルト酒
居酒屋に欲しい鉄板メニューは揃えながら、宮城名物が勢揃い。一品ずつのボリュームがすごいしお酒のあてにもなるから最高。
やっぱり仙台で食べる牛たんは格別。
焼肉とは全く別物だし、シンプルでお肉の旨味をちゃんと感じられてジューシーでとっても美味しい。
笹かまは炙られているのが香ばしく、食感も良くて好みの味でした。
適度な賑わい、そしてスタッフの活気とアットホームな空間はとても居心地が良く、
仙台に住んでいたらつい1人でも通ってしまいそうなお店。
