倉敷美観地区で夜ごはん。
1番食べたかったご当地グルメである鰆のたたきは昼に食べることができた。
しかし人間には夜メシというものがあるのだ。まだ他にもご当地グルメを食べるチャンス。
2、3番手候補にしていたのがままかり寿司と下津井の蛸だ。
そうなると海鮮料理屋に狙いを定めることになる。
複数の候補の中でなんとなくネットで目についたこちらに決めた。
美観地区の中には歴史ある建物を使った料理屋も多い。歴史と趣のある店内で海鮮郷土料理を食べるなんて最高ではないか。
祝日18:20到着で先客6名(2名×3組)
店内もとても味のあるいい雰囲気です。
本日の注文
・刺身の盛り合わせ(鰆の背中側、鰆の腹側、ニシ貝、平目のえんがわ)¥1,650
・ままかり寿司¥1,100

まずはままかり寿司からいただきます。
思ってたより酸味控えめ、魚の身に特にインパクトがあるわけでもないのだが、なんかクセになる。うん、美味しい。
ごはんと合いすぎて、となりからごはん(まま)を借りてしまうからままかり、という語源の通り(諸説あるらしいが)、ごはんと相性ピッタリだからクセになるのかも。
ちなみにお寿司って感じはしないですね。
次に蛸ぶつ。
板さんから、すだち絞ってますのでそのままがオススメです、と言っていただいたのでそのままいきます。
これが絶品。
まず食感が素晴らしい。コリっとしていてでも柔らかくて中にわずかにしっとりした感覚があってとても楽しい食感。
そして味がめちゃくちゃしっかりしてる。こりゃ確かに醤油いらんわ。
まままかり寿司と蛸ぶつ、特に蛸ぶつが最高だったので他も食べてみたくて急遽刺し身の盛り合わせ追加しました。
刺盛りの内容は上記の通り。量を考えると少しお高いかなと思いましたが、鰆が絶品で言うことなし。
特に腹側の身が最高に美味しかった。
やはり名物として名を馳せている食材はハズレなしですね。
