Remarks |
We serve fresh local fish caught that morning at the fish auction at Yomitan Toya Fishing Port, and serve them more deliciously than anywhere else. We cook the fish caught that day in various ways, such as <half as sashimi, half grilled in butter>, and they are very popular. They often sell out during business hours, so if you are interested, please come early! |

☆【Local production for local consumption】☆ Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) participates in auctions every day and serves fresh fish, Okinawan Cuisine, and local sake
The fish dishes caught in the seas off Okinawa are superb! You can enjoy Okinawan home cooking made with care. We have been in business for over 20 years and are a long-established Izakaya (Japanese-s |
In Onna Village, where resort hotels are dotted, Restaurants in the hotels are good, but if you're lucky, you might as well eat outside. On this day, we went to Onna Tsubaki in Maeganeku. The restaurant has a rather calm atmosphere, like Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). That said, it's not too quiet, and you can hear the voices of the tables around you, so it feels like you can relax. First, we toast with Orion draft beer (¥580). When you come to Okinawa, Orion is the place to go. It's refreshing and you can drink as many glasses as you want. There is a wide range of Okinawan Cuisine available. First, we start with the Sea Grapes and Shrimp Seafood Salad (¥1,100). The dish is as the menu name suggests, but sea grapes and shrimp are a combination that seems familiar but doesn't seem to be very common. We also got plenty of vegetables. Another dish worth trying is Jimami Tofu (¥580). It has a chewy texture and a mild flavor. It's called Jimami because it uses peanuts, but it doesn't taste like peanuts and it's like a dessert, which I like. [b: Assorted 6 sashimi items ¥1,500 (2 servings)] is an assortment of akamachi, irabucha, tuna, and octopus. It also has fish that are typical of Okinawa, but it tastes just as it looks. It doesn't feel particularly fresh, but it's a stable taste. It's something you want to eat when you come to Okinawa. [b: Rafute ¥990, Doruten ¥700, and Fried Yanbaru Chicken ¥880] are also typical Okinawan dishes. The taste makes you want to drink alcohol, so the beer disappears quickly. In addition to Orion, [b: Okinawa Coral Beer] was also available, so I had an IPA (¥880). It has just the right amount of hops, and is a classic IPA. Orion is refreshing, so it's a good contrast to it. What was interesting was the [b:"Somen Chanpuru ¥660"]. It looked simple, but the garlic was quite strong. It was a strong flavor, so it went well with beer, but children also seemed to like it. Eating the Chanpuru really made me feel like I was in Okinawa. After the beer, we had the [b:"Okinawa Blue ¥660"], a blue lemon sour. It looked like Blue Hawaii, but it tasted like a refreshing lemon sour. This was also quite light, but it had a bit of carbonation, so it seemed like a good drink to finish off a meal. For the final dish, we had the [b:"Kufa Juicy". Kufa means "hard". It was like a well-seasoned rice dish. It's a great way to finish off a night of drinking, or as a regular meal. The broth was well-infused. My overall impression was that it was a reliable Okinawan Cuisine Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). Because it's in a tourist area, the prices are a little higher than you'd expect, but nothing is too pricey, and the best thing is that they have a wide range of Okinawan Cuisine. I think it's a convenient restaurant, especially for families.
