I visited on a weekday night. I made a reservation, but you may be able to get in without making a reservation. There are private rooms with sunken kotatsu tables and counter seats. The exterior looks like an old folk house, but the interior is bright and has an atmosphere somewhere between Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) and a Japanese restaurant. In summary, all the dishes were delicious and very satisfying. The sashimi was fresh and the assortment was beautiful, and the octopus was very soft and easy to eat. The asparagus Tempura also has a wonderful crunchy texture. The deep-fried Koetsu chicken that you sometimes see at restaurants in Saga was also consistently delicious. If you have never been to Saga, I highly recommend you try Koetsu. This time I used the counter, but the private room seemed quite spacious, so I thought it could be used for formal drinking parties.
