I visited Kori-an Japanese Cuisine restaurant in Makino, Shiga Prefecture. The staff picked me up from Makino Station on the Kosei Line. In a restaurant with a panoramic view of Lake Biwa, I was able to enjoy dishes that truly captured the terroir of Shiga Prefecture's ingredients. What I had: ● Steamed Kokon Sushi Touji ● Hassun Sushi with tomoe Horikawa with red vinegar Wasabi pickled Young sweetfish cooked with kinome Sushi simmered in sweet and soy sauce Duck meat ● Soup of spring vegetables, Ikecho shellfish, and egg tofu ● Funa no roe mabushi ● Sushi mochi ● Young sweetfish from Lake Biwa, butterbur sprouts, and cod eye Tempura ● Sushi pasta ● Small soup ● 3 kinds of Ochazuke(boiled rice with tea)Sushi Benihoppe and sake lees Ice cream A variety of dishes that allow you to enjoy Shiga Prefecture I was able to enjoy Sushi in various forms! We even had a pasta dish with crucian Sushi. The chef wanted to make the crucian carp Sushi taste delicious, which is a little unusual, so he came up with the idea of making it into a cream pasta. The comparison of three types of honmoroko and the young sweetfish Tempura were also excellent! It was a fantastic dining experience, being able to feel the terroir while looking at the magnificent view of Lake Biwa. I'll definitely visit again ♪ Thank you for the meal!
