JR山陰本線・浜田駅南口から徒歩5分、アーケード商店街(どんちっちタウン)沿いにあるチェーン居酒屋。1991年(平成3年)に島根県安来市に1号店をオープンし、現在は中国地方や東京を中心に40店舗以上の居酒屋業態を展開している。こちらの浜田店は2013年(平成25年)のオープン。
チェーン居酒屋らしい明るく賑やかな雰囲気で総数170席ある大箱の居酒屋。メニューは刺身や焼き物、揚げ物といった居酒屋の定番メニューの他に山陰地方の食材を使ったご当地感のある料理もある。お酒もビールや日本酒、焼酎の他に、山陰地方の果実を使った色々なフルーツサワーなど種類豊富。
お通しはところてんの上に錦糸卵とうなぎのかば焼きが乗った小鉢。お通しでうなぎが出るってのはちょっと嬉しい。人気No.1メニューのお刺身の桶盛で1人前用の「ちょい盛り」(780円)をオーダー。島根県の境港を中心に各地の漁港から水揚げされる新鮮な魚が日替わりで盛られる。
この日はぶり、カツオタタキ、サーモン、キハダ、鯵(あじ)が各2切ずつ。メニューには4種と書いてあるが1品サービスで5種になっている。5種類の刺身の中でも特に境港の鯵(あじ)が出色だった。醤油は卓上に3種類あり、かばオリジナルのしじみ醤油と島根名物の甘口の再仕込み醤油が2種類。とろりとした濃厚な甘さの醤油は刺身にもぴったり。
追加で人気No.2という炭火焼の「鶏盛り」(890円)をチョイス。網の上で炭火で焼いて肉の表面に香ばしい炭をまとわせた宮崎風鶏肉炭火焼き。鶏肉は大山山麓の香美鶏を使用し、もも、むね、せせり、砂肝の4種盛り。薬味は柚子胡椒と粗切りのもみじおろし、付け合わせのキャベツ用の甘口ソースも付いてくる。
