Visited on 15/12/2017 I walked back to the station from Numazu Port. I had decided to go to Ramen shop at the end, but it was still before 5 o'clock. While I was wandering around the arcade near the station, I found Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that was already open near the entrance! I had no choice but to go in, so I charged in! Exit the south exit of Numazu Station, go to the right, and it's on the first basement floor just to the right of the entrance to the arcade. It's about a 3-minute walk. I arrived at about 4:40. As expected, I was the first customer. The staff were preparing and cleaning. But since I was alone, I was easily guided to the counter. Since I was mainly eating sake that day, I also had some here. I looked at the menu and ordered "Iso Jiman", a dry sake from Shizuoka. It was spicy and refreshing. It had a good finish. It was delicious! The appetizer was deep-fried sardines. It was cold but juicy and delicious! The sake was delicious, so I ordered another 2-go bottle. The staff was also very friendly. I stopped by to kill time, but the unexpected deliciousness of the food made me fall in love with it. If I wasn't going to eat Ramen afterwards, I would have liked to try more dishes.
