30年超の「推し」のライブの予約をしたのは
8月の盛夏の折、残業が3日続いた日の夜。
ブルーノートはいつだか行ったことがあったけれども、コットンクラブは初めて。
お客との席の近さと、食事を一緒に楽しめる気軽さが良い。
とはいえ、都心へ出るのは春先の、永田町で自分の出た演奏会以来である。
サイタマの片隅で汗水たらして仕事しつつ、キラキラの世界へ馴染めるのか不安にすらなっていた。
ところが、誕生日にプレゼントしてもらったドレスのようなロングワンピースを着ると、気分は急上昇。
レッドカーペットを踏みしめつつ、コットンクラブへ入店。
物販には人だかり。この中に入り込める勇気は無く、お腹が空いていたので予約した席へ。
今回はボックスシートサイド。
ステージに合わせるカクテルも魅力的。でも食事と一緒という事もあり、シャンパーニュ（パイパー・エドシック エッセンシエル キュヴェ ブリュット）を、グラスで。
おまかせ前菜盛り合わせと、
和豚もち豚スペアリブのスパイシーローストを一緒に。
食用花の彩も美しい前菜。
生ハム等のシャリュキュトリー、マリネ、フルーツ入りのバゲット。
ドライなシャンパーニュがよく合う。
スパイシーなスペアリブ、大振りの肉が何とも贅沢。
ナイフで骨を外して含むとさっくりスパイシー、ジューシー。まるで子どものように骨を持ってむしゃむしゃしてしまった。
とはいえ立ち昇る金の泡の向こう側、ごくごく間近に奏者を待つ楽器が見えるベストポジションである、そろそろお行儀良くしなくてはと思い直した開演10分前。
ステージの上、30年越しの憧れが現れた途端、涙腺崩壊。
伊豆の南端の片田舎の中学生だった頃、
カセットテープ越し（CDプレイヤーなんて買ってもらえなかった）に聞いていた音楽が目の前、シャンパーニュ越しに鳴っている。
「ドレスとバラの花束 君にプレゼント とびきり素敵なディナーも 予約したから」
と、歌詞が聞こえて来ると、むせかえるほど号泣。
ステージの真ん中の輝く人は、来年還暦を迎えるという・・・私も歳をとるわけだ。
ラストは「君は1000％」で〆。
「しなやかな仕草と渡されたカクテル恋の眩暈飲み干す」
私が飲み干したのは、甘いカクテルでは無くてシャンパーニュ。
来年もぜひこの、ここの席で。
次は着物、誂えて来よう。
