歩道上に立てられた看板に「タイムサービス限定メニュー 海鮮丼 850円」というのを見掛けて(サービスの時間外だと承知の上で)店に入ることにしました。
エレベーターで５階に上がると、いきなり店の入口です。靴を鍵付き下駄箱に入れて中に入ります。店員さんに「おタバコは？」と聞かれたので、分煙なんだなと思いながら「吸わないです」と答えました。案内されたのは、確かに灰皿が無く "吸えない席" なのですが、少しするとタバコの臭いが流れてきて、けっこう辛い。吸わない＝灰皿の用意は不要 という意味では確かにそうなのですが、、、 次からは タバコは嫌いです とハッキリ伝えようと心に誓いつつ、今回は私の伝え方に落ち度があったと反省し、この席で我慢することしました。
少しすると注文を取りに店員さんが来てくれました。私の注文は外で看板を見た 海鮮丼 です。タイムサービスの時間外でも通常の値段で良ければ注文できるだろうと思っていたら、「タイムサービス限定メニュー」なので、その時間以外は 海鮮丼 は提供できないとのこと。確かに日本語をちゃんと読まなかった私が悪い、、、 気を取り直して、曜日限定ランチ のどぐろフライ御膳 を注文しました。10分ほどして出てきた のどぐろフライ は、アジフライ のような外観。のどぐろフライ 自体が初めてだったので、これが普通の姿なのかもしれませんが、勝手にもっと大ぶりな魚の切り身がフライになっているのかと思っていました。フライの脇にはタルタルソースが添えられ、更に ソースの器 と すり鉢に入った煎りゴマ も付いています。
まずは何も付けずに、そのまま一口頂きます。味は比較的淡泊でフライ衣の味に負けてしまっているように感じました。そこにタルタルやソースを掛けては更に魚の味が全く分からなくなってしまいそうだったので、私は最後までそのまま何も付けずに頂きました。
で、ほとんど食べ終わる頃に気付いたのですが、メニューには、胡麻豆腐 が付いていることになっています。もしかしたら、煎りゴマをすり鉢ですってから店員さんに申し出るとその場で 胡麻豆腐 を作ってきてくれるシステムだったのかとも思いましたが、その説明も受けていませんし、ランチの時間にも限りがあるし、もっと言えばタバコ臭い席にいるのも辛くなって来たので、胡麻豆腐の謎 は解明されぬままに店を出ることにしました。
ごちそうさまでした。
※タバコは吸わないと伝えたにも拘わらず、(確かに灰皿は置いてなかったですが)非常にタバコ臭い席に案内されたので、「サービス」のポイントを大きく減点しています。
