白ワインと天ぷら。どこに接点があるのかと思えばそれはポルトガルでした。
天ぷらは南蛮貿易の時代に伝わった説があり、その場合の南蛮はポルトガル。いんげんのフリットが起源だとか何だとか言う。
同じ時代におそらくワインもまた伝わっていたのだろう、ポートワインやシェリーかもしれないが。
天ぷらとワインが共に時の人らに供され、その文化がそのまま残り平民たちにも広まっていたとしたら。
そんな空想がふと思いやられる、素敵なお店が渋谷に出来ていました。
活気とサービス精神あふれるスタッフの方たちに素晴らしいナチュラルワインの数々。特にワインはポルトガルのヴィーノ・ヴェルデとイタリアのナチュラル、値段に対するセレクトが非常に良心的で素晴らしすぎました。
そして天ぷら。ぶり大根の天ぷらは想像の一周まわって別次元。イカ墨を混ぜた真っ黒な旨味ある衣に、ワインと八角で煮た大根が包まれ、その上に鰤が鎮座。上からこれまた八角香る餡がかけられ、これあれだ、信長のシェフが作ってたかもしれないやつだ！！
インターステラーよろしく、本棚の裏側から別世界に来てしまったかのような、極楽を楽しめるお店です。
