恵比寿には何度か来たことがありますが、このお店がある西口の坂はあまり登ったことがありません。近くに用事があり、ちょうどお昼時だったので何の前知識もなく、たまたま通りかかって入店しました。
結果、大正解でした！
頼んだのは、シェフのおまかせパスタB（1200円、税込）。サラダの前菜、キャベツのスープ、ペスカトーレのランチセットです。麺の量は選べますが、デフォルトでも、深皿に結構タップリ入っています。
サラダは3種類が一皿に盛られています。私は人参の千切りを干しブドウと和えたものが特に気に入りました。さりげないサラダなのですが、ディルっぽい香草など、様々な風味を感じます。
スープは仄かにカレー粉の香りがして、食欲を刺激します。
ペスカトーレは、麺の茹で加減が丁度よく、味付けは重層的で、塩加減もまさにジャスト。具のアサリと貝柱ももちろんプリプリです。
何を食べても、それぞれ味付けがあるべきところにピッタリ決まっていることに驚きました。しかも、香辛料の使い方が上手で、同じメニューでも、口に運ぶと他店で食べるものとは別物なのに驚きます。
メニューも、店の作りも、上辺の高級感で顧客を煙に巻くことはしません。でも、こだわりは感じます。フラッと立ち寄って、カウンターで美味しいものを楽しんで、サッと立ち去る、真の食いしん坊向けのお店だと思います。
13時頃に入店しました。一定数のお客さんはいましたが、席には余裕がある様子でした。店の規模にしては従業員の数も多く、接客もつかず離れずでありながら温かみがあり、居心地良かったです。
応援していますが、行列店にはなってほしくないです。チャラチャラしたところがない、美味しいものを腕の力で提供する今の姿勢を保ち続けてほしいです。
1200円というランチの単価は、丸の内付近でもよく見かけますが、中身は全く別物です。自宅からは遠いですが、1人でずっと通い続けたいお店候補になりました。今度は夜に、ワインも試したいです。
