東京の桜の満開宣言が出たこの日、花冷えの中、南新宿方面へ。途中、小さな教会に、満開の桜が。
小田急線のガードの近くでこちらのお店を見つけました。階段を下り半地下のお店に入ってみます。
見たところ、テーブル席だけの店内。2人掛けテーブルがちょうど空いたところで、少し下膳を待ってそちらに座りました。
客席運営は数名の高齢の女性店員さん。猪口には大きく湯呑みには小さい器でお茶を持ってきてくれます。鶏肉黒胡椒焼を注文。店員さん
「ご飯の盛りは？」ー普通で
「バナナかパインです」
デザートが選べるようです。パインにしました。
私が入店したときは、ちょうどピークタイムだったようです。徐々に空き、下膳ラッシュも一息つくと、店員さんたちはゆとりを取り戻し、お茶を注ぎ足して回ったり、常連らしき方に声を掛けたりしています。新宿から一駅とは思えない、おふくろ感を感じます。
料理も、新宿から一駅の割に、充実感を感じます。鶏肉は柔らかで、皮はカリッと。おいしい味噌汁、柔らかいかぼちゃ煮つけほか小鉢2品、デザートのパイン。
ランチタイムの会計は現金のみ。「ありがとうございました」の繰り返しに送られました。頂いた鶏肉もさることながら、雰囲気が気に入りました。
