My first visit was at noon on a weekday (around 12:15pm). While I was out in Ikebukuro, I wanted to eat Japanese-style meal, so I chose Minokichi from the Tobu department Restaurants area. 60% seating rate. From the menu, I ordered ・Weekday limited lunch Bento (boxed lunch) (3,300 yen) ・Iced coffee (550 yen). It takes about 15 minutes from ordering to serving. The lunch Bento (boxed lunch) includes dashi rolled eggs, grilled kamaboko, salmon, shrimp, sesame tofu, mixed vegetables, sashimi, and lots of side dishes. Enjoy it with both your eyes and your tongue. The main dish is Kyoto Kamo eggplant, and you can enjoy the different flavors of the eggplant from the sweetness of white miso and the saltiness of red miso. The ginger and potato rice is also refreshing and delicious. It might be a good place to have a leisurely lunch. Next time, I would like to try seasonal kaiseki cuisine.
