目白駅3分。店名がかかれた看板が店先にないので、事前に玄関の写真をチェックしておかないと通り過ぎてしまうお店。高い吹きぬけの天井にシーリングファンが回り、店内にはアップライトのピアノが置かれたり、キューバ音楽が流れるなどおしゃれな雰囲気が漂います。
ココの売りは大隅半島から仕入れた魚。ランチは1000円のカンパチのから揚げ定食をチョイス。おそらく一匹丸ごと仕入れてざく切りにしたと思われるようなカンパチは、ほとんど衣をつけない状態で揚げられていました。経費削減のため衣を厚くする店も多いですが、ココのカンパチはまだ新鮮と思われるようなもの肉厚の状態で食べられ非常に満足度が高いです。(尚、他のレビュアーの方でカンパチ一切れしかなかったとありましたが、私のはシラスがなかった代わりにカンパチが三切れ入っており全く問題ありませんでした)
また味噌汁もこだわりがあり、みそについて聞いてみたところ練馬の手作り赤みそを使っているとのこと。人工的な味ではなく優しい味わいがしました。ただ、お米にこだわりがないのと全体的に塩分高めかなという印象はありますが、魚のレベルが高いのでそんなに問題でもないかなと思います。味噌汁、豆腐のサイズは小さめですがご飯はお代わりができ1000円で食べれる内容としては満足度が高いと思います。魚好きの人が目白を訪れたらぜひ寄ってもらいたいお店です。
