天現寺の交差点近くにある、隠れ家的な和食店『天現寺小野』へ。
古民家風な雰囲気で迎えてくれる和食店は朱のカウンターが印象的。なんだか家に帰ってきたような居心地の良さがあり、特に堀ごたつの個室ならくつろいだ空間でディナーを楽しむことができる。コースの設計は、店がやりたい事というよりもお客様ファーストで構成されているような印象。懐石料理などのルールでいえばあべこべだが、ビールを頼めばいきなり揚げ物でスタートしてくれるのはポジティブだったり。それが「甘鯛と蕗の薹の揚げ物」、素材の脂や季節の風味が余計にお酒の相性を確実にします。
確かな料理のレベルは次に提供されるシンプルな出汁が証明します。鰹の風味がぶわっと広がる一番出汁が美味。和食は出汁が決まれば、お後はよろしいものでございます。お次はお凌ぎ的なポジションで「むつの海苔巻き」が登場。酢飯の酸味が適度に効いたのか、脂含めて思ったより軽い印象です。塩昆布で味わいが増強されております。
肉料理を担当するのは鴨の炭火焼。口直し的な北寄貝のもずく酢を食べれば、今度は白身や鰹の藁焼きといったお造りに戻ってくる。ホワイトアスパラのカラスミがけ、太刀魚の幽庵焼き、蟹の餡と筍とお椀、そして、穴子と桜海老のご飯で締め。1つ1つのポーションもしっかりしており、ボリューム的な満足度も高い。味付けもやはりしっかりしており、最後まで楽しくお酒と合わすことができました。ご馳走様です!
