西麻布にあった「鳥まんみ」に行ったことがあり、お店が移転したとご案内を頂いて行ってみた。広尾駅から徒歩5分くらい。
分けとく山から少し奥に入ったところ。お店はビルの３Fで内装はとても素敵。贅沢に木材を使っていてかなり自分の好みだ。
カウンター席が５～６席、個室風の小上がりが３つ、今回は小上がりの一つに通された。ここは畳ではなく、桐？のような木材を使っていて、すわり心地が良い。（もちろん座布団がある） 掘りごたつ風になっているのもありがたい。
この日はまだ暑かったのでお鍋（鶏と鯨の鍋がある）はやめてアラカルトを色々頼んでみた。鯨の刺身、秋刀魚塩焼き、鰹たたき、鶏料理盛り合わせ（昆布〆、たたき、塩漬け）、天ぷら盛り合わせ、〆には鶏雑炊と冷し鶏ラーメン。
鯨は今まで苦手だったけれどにおいもなく、強いていうとサクッとした歯ごたえ。新鮮な鰹の刺身を食べたときの食感に似ている。新鮮な鯨はこういう味なんだなと発見。鶏料理盛り合わせも３つの味付けでどれも家庭では再現できない味。手が込んでいる。 そして、料理のうつわが、一つ一つとても素敵なものが多い。これだけも結構幸せな気持ちになってしまった。
お酒は埼玉の神亀という日本酒が充実していて、純米酒と純米吟醸の小鳥のさえずりというお酒をたくさん飲んでしまった。(2人であわせて7合） そのほかにも季節に合わせて色々な日本酒があるそうだ。 ワインも焼酎もある。
店内は板前さんと女将さん2人で切り盛りしていて、元気で愛嬌のある女将さんの接客が気持ちよい。素敵な黒の絣の着物を着ていらした。 結構高そうな雰囲気なのだが、思ったほど高くないのでびっくり。 3500円～のコース料理もあるそうなので、今度はそれを試してみたい。
