都内は大雪警報。そんな雪の日は飲食店はキャンセルの嵐だ。不要不急の外出は控えろとのお達しだが僕には楽しみにしていた新年会が待っていた。
選んだ店はクリマ ディ トスカーナ。そう、イタリアトスカーナ料理の名店。東京イタリアン百名店にも選出されているナウイ店だ。イタリアと聞けば地域限らず頭の中は大好きなゴッドファーザーのテーマ曲が常に流れる。
イタリア中部のトスカーナ地方は、のどかな田園風景、ルネサンス期の芸術作品、宗教寺院、そして中世以来の丘上都市など見どころが多い地域。また、イタリアのワイン格付けで最高ランクのDOPワインの産地でもある。
ま、そんなこんなでしんしんと降る雪を眺めて芝浦一ダンディなイケおじとアレやこれや積もる話多々あり、楽しい会話に3時間。雪は5センチも積もった。
最初にソムリエからの説明があり、つづいてイタリアの数々の星付きレストランを渡り歩き日本イタリア料理協会（A.C.C.I.）」の実行委員を務める佐藤 真一シェフの挨拶からスタート。アットホームな雰囲気とクラシカルの融合、オリジナリティ溢れ日本的な工夫も随所にみられ、ソースも彩りも美しい。肉の専門家も合格マークの蝦夷鹿のステーキは火入れも完璧、柔らかく驚いた。
自家製のパスタもお代わりしたいレベル。パスタランチ食べにこよっと。
