上野にあるれんこんが売りの飲み屋さんです。
上野公園の蓮が有名なのから、れんこんにこだわったお店をだしているのだとか。この日は事前に電話で予約してから訪問しました。
お店はアメ横から少し道を外れたところにあります。周りはコンクリート造りの雑居ビルが立ち並ぶ中、木造の店構えが際立ちます。
引き戸を開けて中に入ると、内装も大正レトロな雰囲気を残した雰囲気でした。
ボックス席に案内されると最初のドリンクや食べ物のオーダーを行います。
また、店員さんに言うだけでなく、座席のQRコードを読み込むことで、オンラインでも注文ができるのは有難いですね。
メニューをみると、やはり目を引くのはそのレンコン料理の豊富さ。
レンコン料理は、からしれんこん、れんこんのきんぴら焼き、れんこんのピクルスを注文しました。
レンコン料理に使われているレンコンはとにかく大きく、しゃきしゃきとした食感。
普通のスーパーで売っているれんこんとは次元が違います。
また、それ以外の料理も全体的にひと手間入ったレベルの高い料理でした。とくにつくね焼きは、焼き鳥スタイルを想像していたら、ほうば焼きスタイルで出てきてびっくり。普通に焼いたものよりもふわふわした食感で、楽しめました。
全体的にとても満足なお店でした。
