Because we slice live eels every day in the restaurant and grill them after steaming them at Goemon, you may have to wait more than an hour for your food order after you come to the restaurant. If you make a reservation for a table only, please let us know in advance as much as possible what kind of stacked or branded eel you would like to eat (if you call us, we can tell you which eel we plan to stock on the reserved day), how many you would like to order, and how you would like your eel grilled. |

Credit cards are only accepted after 5pm. PayPay can be used all day. Wild eel and various brands of eel can only be ordered by phone or message by 9pm the day before. We may not be able to accommodate same-day orders for wild or branded eel. If you are ordering a course meal, please let us know at the time of making your reservation if there are any ingredients you cannot enjoy due to food allergies or religious reasons. In November 2022, the seating was renewed and the main dining area was changed to chair seating. We apologize for the inconvenience, but if you have made a reservation for two people, we may ask you to sit a little further apart from each other, separated by an acrylic board, or to sit at the counter. Due to the limited availability of ``Unagi Ramen'' made with 100% eel soup stock, orders cannot be accepted after arriving at the store, so please make a reservation in advance. Our eel kabayaki products prepared using the Goemon steaming method and prepared in-restaurant and placed in vacuum-packed bags are sold at our online shop, so please purchase them online. |

前から気になっていた、亀戸の八べえさんへ先ずはTEL。
太物うなぎ1名で予約できるか確認したところ、OKとのこと。
開店11:30で予約し亀戸へ急行!
亀戸に降り立つと、雨風強い上、気温5℃となかなかの悪コンディション。
東雲ヌードルさんのちょい先だからか、駅からはそこそこ歩く。
途中、強風に傘を吹っ飛ばされそうになりながら、開店10分前に現着。
先客なし、まあ、この天気じゃねぇ。
店頭でうなぎを捌いてる仕事を見学させて貰ってたら、10分なんてあっという間です。
入店し、セッティング済みのカウンター席に着席。
待つこと4分で着重です。
電話予約時、最終工程の焼き手前まで済ませておいて貰ったので直ぐ提供されました。
なんか、横長長方体のお重は珍しい。
さぁて、オープンザうな重ぅ〜
立派な太物青うなぎがこんにちは。
ぱっと見、タレが薄い感じ?
青うなぎは身厚で美味しそう。
ささ、先ずはうなぎだけで食べてみましょ。
と、箸で一口分うなぎを取り食べようとすると…
ほろやわらかで、崩れそう。
慌ててパクリ…
くわっ!

口の中で、比喩じゃなく本当に溶けてく。
これが本物のうなぎかっ!
今まで食べたことのあるうなぎとは別次元っ!
味蕾からの情報を上手く処理できてない。
大脳が記憶していたうなぎとは別物だっ!
タレ薄そうな見た目と違い、ちょうどいい塩梅のタレ濃度。
濃いと、折角の青うなぎの味を邪魔しちゃう。
たった一口で、うなぎの記憶にある味が全部上書きされた。
それ位美味しい。
ふ〜おちけつ。
肝吸い一息。
次はご飯とだが、ほろやわだから慎重にご飯と一緒にパクリ。
生きててよかった。
こんなに美味しいものがこの世にはまだあるんだ。
しっかし、こんなにほろやわな身に串うてるよな。
凄い熟練の技だと思う。
ひっくり返すとき、身が崩れそうだもの。
感動しつつ、上半分を完食。
自分、半分は山椒振って食べるポリシー。
卓上備え付け山椒を一口分振ってみる。
香り立つよい山椒だね。
山椒振り後のうなうをパクリ。
これまた旨い。
個別提供の飛騨山椒の封を切る。
お〜すんごく山椒香る。
山椒スキーな自分にはいい感じだが、山椒苦手な人はダメだろうな。
飛騨山椒振ったうなぎをご飯とパクリ。
これまた、山椒の香りが鼻から抜けて美味しい。
と、食べ進め12分で完食です。
うなぎスキーで結構食べてきたつもりだが、上には上があった。
貴重な体験ができた日曜日。
ごちそうさまでした。
接客もとても丁寧で、気持ちよく食事できました。
